While we revere the Old Testament prophets (Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, etc.), Jesus was the final "prophet". But He was much more, He is the sovereign God, and the savior of His people. All things come through Him and by Him, and nothing occurs that He does not cause or allow.

Although scholars consider some prophet major and others minor that has to do with the books of the prophets.
The smaller books such as Joel, Jonah and others towards the end of the Hebrew Scripture are concidered "minor"
But, when you read what these guys were talking about you realize the importance of the message to people to whom they were speaking.
Of corse Jesus is the predominent prophet.
But each prophet revealed a truth about Jah's word.
Joel reveals Jehovah's sense of justice. The Hebrews were in a relationship with Jah as revealed in the Law Covenat (Ex. 24:3-8)Joel warned about trouble that was coming because the Hebrews were not holding up there end of the bargain.
While Danial relays Jehovah's mercy.
The Hebrews had acted wickedly towards Jah and the covenat so they were taken into exile. But Jah did not forget His word to the Hebrews and did not destroy the nation of Israel. They were released from Babylon captivity and given the opprotunity to rebuild the temple and true worship to Jah.
Both are inportant aspects of Jehovah's love and means of rulership. One aspect is as important as the other.
This is important to remember when we look at the present time we fimd ourself in. 2 Tim 3:1-5 gives us a hint as to what time it is.The book of Revelation explains what we can expect, when you take that information and add it to the information handed down through Jah's word, The Bible, you have a reason for hope because you know Jah is a god of justice and mercy. He will not destroy the good along with the wicked(Gen 18:22,23) So when we understand what is really going on, we can rejoice and know that wickedness ia about to be swept of the earth. That's a promise from Jehovah.
You can check out His record of keeping promises by reading the Bible and studying history.
