You'll either see them, or you and/or your pet will be scratching a lot- you may see little red dots appearing on you, particularly on your legs!

If you have an untreated animal, it and your house are likely to have fleas.

tonight, light a candle and place it on a white sheet of paper on the floor. within 5 minutes, if you see "pepper flecks" appearing on the paper, you have fleas.

Fleas are attracted to heat and movement. That's why I suggest using a candle. And the white paper is only so you can see the "pepper flecks" if the fleas are there.

Home Depot has these "flea bombs" that work AMAZING. Good luck!

you can run a flea comb through your cats hair mostly on her neck and back. If any moving black specks move on the comb. You have fleas.

Put on some white socks and walk across the floor. Look for black flecks on your socks.
