PS3's Future?

Question

What will the PS3's future look like? There's a lot of competition from Nintendo and especially Microsoft. What course do you think Sony's PS3 will take?

Considering the Wii makes a great second console to own and the 360 , elite and "falcon" 360's are all using outdated graphics GPUs that can't go dx10 and the 360's games are still being produced on 8gig dvds even the hd games I think the ps3 has a great future.PS3 has a graphics card two years ahead of even high end gaming computers, and PS3 hd games are on 50gig blueray discs. Hd graphics and sound take alot of space and the 50 gig blueray format for games allows the developers to create great graphics without sacrificing game length and map sizes. There is virtually no load times with the ps3 game ratchet and clank because they didn't need to compress huge files to fit the game on the 50gig discs like Microsoft had to with Halo 3. Halo3 takes all but 4 to 5 hours to beat. For 60 bucks you finish a 360 game in 4 to 5 hours?

Bungie has left Microsoft and is now developing for all the consoles , Why because they want to be known as the best and what kind of reviews will they get when they are competing with the 360s limitations against games developed for ps3.

PS3 future at this point has no limits.

Jay, I think its more than reasonable. Your getting a BlueRay, free Wifi and more hard drive space then 360. With the Xbox 360 you get the bare minimum, no HD DVD, no wifi, 20gb of hard drive, and of coarse a way less reliable machine. So as for price it is very well priced when compared to 360, and considering the price of blueray players now its well priced just for having blueray.

The ps3's future actually looks pretty good, they are starting to lower the prices, the sales are going up, a lot of exlusive ps3 games are coming out in the future that are cool, compared to the future games of the xbox360 which don't look that good(their good games already came out and it looks like they ran out of good games for this year to next year). You can see sales statistics and they are improving.

Right now the PS3 sucks, but I think in late 2008 and 2009 the PS3 will really get better. They need to lower their prices though.

What the Hell.. Who on Earth actually thinks the PS3 is at a reasonable price right now?!

I could buy one if I wanted, but I refuse to support the outrageous price. I prefer the PS3 over the 360, but because of their fair price, I am buying myself and XBox.

Wow, lot's of people think their price is reasonable... No wonder they haven't dropped their price. Oh well, screw Sony, I'll never buy anything from them, unless the price is reasonable. I'd rather get me an HD DVD player than a Bluray Player.. Why dish out so much more money to get a product that is only a little better in quality?
