From what I just read on Yahoo, effective today all talk shows will be in reruns, "reality" shows will not be affected and most prime time shows should be okay until the new year, if the strike continues past christmas then it will start to effect everything else. Oh yeah, soaps will most likely go to reruns or preemptions as soon as about 4 weeks from now if not sooner. Hope this helps.

Night time talk shows will be hit first, most of the other shows (Supernatural) work ahead and will have a few shows already
"in the can"... it depends how far ahead the shows are being filmed to being aired. Most shows are far ahead of their airing schedules.
i am curious about K-Ville, they showed maybe 4 episodes and then put it on a 3 week hiatus... never good for a new show, sort of like putting a nail in the coffin of a new show, I don't know if they want to re-introduce it after Dancing with the Stars ends.

Most shows are subject to airing reruns except for "Reality" shows and sports. Even late night talk shows depend on writers.
The good news is there's a whole world out there besides television. Not the least of which is thinking about, and answering questions.

The first to be showing reruns (probably staring to night) are the talk shows (Jay Leno, David Letterman, etc...) Other shows are taped in advance, but once they're caught up to themselves, then you're going to see reuns of sitcoms and dramas. I really don't know how this affects "reality" TV.

Most weekly network shows have a season of scripts aready done.
But the daily shows are the ones in trouble, and show reruns.
