I doubt that Musharraf will change, just because Bush told him to remove his uniform. How much difference could it make?

I don't think that's going to happen. The way I've heard it, Musharraf's "state of emergency" was that the validity of his most recent win for president was being decided in court.

If he shuts down the court system and prevents them from making a decision, it's because he still wants to keep his uniform and his Presidential position.

Musharraf wants to have his cake and eat it too

No.

I think Bhutto's return has given the dictator his chance to abolish the last remnants of democracy - and the US has vowed to support this destruction.

He has little options but buys time in my opinion. He lost face and that is far worse. He will have alot of problem's to attend to. Plus defeat the growing Islamic rebels. It is playing out moment to moment. Something to watch carefully. And the worldwide responses. Thanks for asking.

true, but US and UN can force him to resign his job. the attack on Bhutto's return was most likely plotted by him. the people like Bhutto not him, only the army supports him. this behaviour could lead to totalitarian. just my opinion
