I think there is a good chance of uniting the classical churches that basically share the faith and traditions if they just put aside political considerations and traditional animosities. If the Roman Catholic Church could accept that the the pope is "Primus inter pares", not the single top stone, and let every Patriarch have the principal responsibility over his patriarchate, and the Eastern Orthodox and Oriental churches could leave aside historical misdeeds from the equation, I think there is a good chance.
The Protestants are a bigger problem, because they've moved too far away from classical Christianity. Maybe some of the more traditional churches (like Anglicans and some Lutherans) could come in question, but most Protestants would have too great difficulties in ever accepting the traditional role of the Church as the Teaching Authority, which can impossibly be compromised with by the traditional churches. That would be like saying "we were wrong all the time", which is too big a step against Human sense of Pride.

I don't think that would be a good idea, since some christians are very closed minded to other religions, or other spiritual ideas from sourses outside of christianity. We do not need a uniting of forces, that will end up dividing the world religions apart even further. And we don't need the traditional type churches, who are stuck in ancient beliefs, and are unable to look for, or develop better and fresher spiritual ideas, dominating the group.

Yes we should however we will not...
We should all go to The Bible for doctrine and we should all come to the same doctrine as God is the same always and he has gave us his word that will stand forever. But we do not because we all let things like pride get in the way of this.
Some day God will come back and fix all of this, but for now we just have to turn to The Bible and try to live by the truths found in it.

All who come to God in The Way He prescribes receive His free gift of Salvation. those become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven
There is already only One Church... and all True Christians are part of it... The Church is not of any man invention of any " denomination"
That is God's Word

In Ephesians chapter four we are told that their is ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM AND ONE BODY. That one body is the church which scripture describes as all those who have put their faith in Christ so all Christians are unified spiritually already. So much so that the bible describes us as one body just as their is one Lord. {can't get more unified than that!} Our problem is getting people to see the church as God sees it and not as denominations see it. I don't think we even NEED organizational unity. Why wait for religious leaders to sort things out? True unity is not belonging to one organization but is from the heart.

I give that a very low order of probability. Have a look at the "Christians vs Catholics" fued.
Since Christians are all speculating about the properties, attributes and desires of an unknowable, questionably existent entity, the likelihood of one unified point of view is very slight.

Never going to happen. Too many denominations regard one another with barely concealed contempt, often accusing one another of not being Christians at all. You will never see Protestants, Catholics, Mormons, Pentecoastals embracing one another or accepting one another's dogma.

They should, yes. They should put their differences aside and agree together that Christ is the only hope this dying world has. Then they can be his hands and feet, the body of Christ, like they were meant to.

Should'all christians' unite as one? Yes!!!
Will it happen in this lifetime? I pray to God it does in this country (Judaism too) this biblical secular year; but 'people' have to get out of the get of the 'status quo' mentality that many seem to have in this country(USA) presently, to God's glory.

because... while there are good, decent Christians in this world, anyone must admit, there are plenty of others who are so certain that their interpretation alone is the "correct" one.
And you also have what I shall call "political Christians" who have a vested interest, in terms of power and finances, in seeing their orders grow and prosper more than others.
