No, because he will only end up thinking he can drag you along on a string and be that 'friends with benefits' he was looking for. Move on. Sounds like a player to me.

I would stay his friend. One of my best friends right now is a guy and he's been my friend for the past 6 years. We've liked each other on and off and we even tried dating once and we're just better friends because of it. So I would definitely say to stay his friend. If you two do start dating at some point in time though, be careful with how physical you get because some bonds are really hard to stay away from if you break up but stay friends.

This is a big mistake. its all or nothing. you are only looking at this from a point of what is in it for you? Do you know how this makes a guy feel, not good. if you tell a guy your not what I'm looking for then why bother being friends? if he is not good enough why lead him on? It is selfish to say I will let you be my friend and I like the attention but im in control of where this gos. How can you be friends and not grow in to the relationship. focus on being friends with a person that you have real feeling for and something that has the potential to grow in to a real relationship.

Is this an issue? He's not going to marry you and you're not going to marry him. That doesn't mean you can't be friends.
I guess I'm frustrated a bit by your question because I don't always have some underlying cause when I make conversation. I have attractive female friends who will never be lovers.

Let him know that you juust like his personality and that you dont want anything more than friends. If you start showing or telling him that you want more, then he will ask for more. At the end of the day he is a guy. Which guy says no?

It sounds like this guy said that because he was shot down by you. If you like him as a friend, then why not keep in touch?
As long as he knows the friendship boundary and doesn't violate that or take advantage.

Yeah and this way you can go out and date and if there is a lag you can always call the cool guy.
Truly If you were having sex with Mr. Cool you should forget the friendship. because temptation is too much. You don't really want to continue to have sex with someone who enjoys having sex with who ever. I mean if you have sex with mr. cool you may as well have sex with all of his new partners too.
Do you get it???? Much luck
