well both are pure honey...

depending upon the seller, store bought honey is usually heated and pastuerized. Also, it could be a blend of different types of honey (gathered from different types of flowers.)

The honey you get at the farmer's market may just be filtered but unpastuerized. Again, it depends upon the seller.

The honey that you get from KFC in the little packets is usually a honey-corn syrup blend. You can check the ingredient label on store bought honey to make sure you're buying 100% pure honey.

pure honey - usually is straight from the bee keeper him/herself - found in farmer markets and is local to the area ( the best)

Store bought - usually pure but is from all over and may not even be in the USA. It is filtered and pasturized. It can also have other things added to it like corn syrup. To me has an off taste.
