I get very upset when I see a question from someone with a serious medical or psychological problem and people merely say to pray without telling the person to get professional help.
I think it is the height of irresponsibility.

naw. Jesus said "Believe in me and you will be saved.
Saved from what? Saved from the power of sin and it's eternal consequences.
The rest is just icing on the cake and we may or may not receive those things. After all, Jesus also said "In this world you shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
But that doesn't preclude Jesus from healing, and many times He does. But to promise these things as a condition by which someone trusts Him is just plain wrong. Unless, of course, you had a revelation from God for that particular individual.
As far as how MUCH He can do? Well, He said "ALL authority (power) has been given to me ..." There really is NO limit what He CAN do. That's obvious when you read the Scriptures.

Many many are religious to the point of being fervent. But I still have not been able to get any of the church people to tell me Jesus will give a new leg to an amputee, if he prays hard enough. But they are really extreme in general.

You're right. Even though he could RAISE THE DEAD, it seems like healing a headache would be far to difficult for him.
Seriously, did you even think about your question? Even people who don't believe in God would find this question absurd.

"too many" is a very kind therm for it. This is a place of extremes. Extreme atheist, extreme christians. And both of them are convinced that they are right, and they find it fair to offend people who belong on "the other side"

I'd like to think that I'm over zealous for Christ.....and NOT religion.
And God can do anything He wants to.......even heal a headache

I know what you mean. It's one thing to believe a certain way, and it's quite another to get up on a soap box and preach. Sometimes I wonder if they even realize how crazy they sound.
