my wife was terrorized by a chinese man in a park while taking my son for a little walk. She tried to use a swing after a boy finished not knowing that a Chinese man was some feet away waiting. He came to her screaming and shouting and threatening with his hands in the air and mumbling in some broken English. My wife just froze but when she came home she was really in bad shape.

i visited china some time ago and it seems that Chinese immigrants import the same habbits and attitudes to America.

i am not sure it was a crazy guy. based on what my wife described, it matches well the common behavior i observed in china on my visit some years ago. it has nothing to do with racism at all, but more with this particular type of behavior. my wife has never encoutered anything like that in her life. when a person is waiting for a swing, they just come to u politely and tell u that they had been waiting. that is the american behavior.

i am not sure about the pink panther you refer to in your reply. i actually found English people to be very polite and socialable. I do not know about the turks of which u say funnily. in any case, my question was not about being greedy or generous nor was it about turks or english.

?? Some crazy guy in the park and you think that has anything to do with him being Chinese? Pull your head out.

I do not think that the behavior you describe in your message is necessarily Chinese. I have seen some rude people everywhere. It has to do with the general level of education I think (as opposed to being cultural).

Because you have visited China and saw some rude people and now your wife happened to have had an unpleasant circumastance with a man that looked Chinese (he might be from other parts of Asia) you conclude that it was Chinese behavior.

I have been to Chinatown on several occasions but people seem to be friendly. I observed, however, that the place was rather crowdy and some people spit (one of them narrowly escaped my shoes).

Take it ez.

I used to do deliveries to chinese restaurents, and although i met the odd misery guts, most were nice, and generous (esp at Christmas). Funnily enough so were the Turks. Strangely, the English people who made up the other 99% of people I'd deliver to, were usually less than friendly and sure as hell weren't generous!I think maybe you've been watching too many Pink Panther films mate!!

I'm sorry but I must say that, that has never happened to me, and one of my favorite places is Chinatown in San Francisco (around where I live), the people are friendly, kind, and I love their culture. I have also worked for a Chinese dentist for 6 years.

North Korea? ha ha ha I don't think so. just stick to your attacks on cheap countries like Iraq.
