You should feel special just because you are you.
Getting calls from the Gov and former Gov is very cool though unless of course it is the pre-recorded message encouraging you to vote for them or someone they endorse...then you should feel annoyed at the wasting of your tax money.

Not really. You'll be 'really special' if you get LETTERS from the governor, the former governor, the mayor, the former mayor and the head of the zoo after you give a 'donation' of the 'darned alligator' you almost 'stepped on' in the driveway (in L.A. California) and put it into the 'tub' for safety but then wanted to take a bath. I didn't know it, but it was a 'South American Cayman' which were 'very difficult' to get, and mine was the 'opposite gender' of the one they had, so they were going to let it grow up and see if they'd mate. TRUE STORY.

Yes. If it was for something good and not because you hacked the state computer systems. Well, it isn't all too special if you are related to one of the governors either. It would be cool if you were related but I doubt you should feel special because of relations.... you can't help where you are born into...........
BUT......
Congrats if you had them contact you because of some great appreciation you deserve!
