I'm 40, have 3 kids (9, 6, 3) and have noticed over the last 3-5 years my hair falling out and beginning to thin on top. This is extremely distressing to me and I'm worried to death about it. My thyroid is in check and I have no health problems that cause hair loss, so I don't know how to fix this problem. My ob said there's really nothing anyone, male or female, can do about thinning hair. It's just age, hormone, stress related. He said even Rogaine doesn't work or else we wouldn't still see bald men, much less women! Does anyone who has had this problem know any treatments that truly made a difference before I go spending tons of cash on a million products promising thicker hair. Mind you, I'm not bald or balding - I've just noticed a definite thinning on the crown of my head and have to carefully style my hair so that my scalp doesn't show.

I in finding with designated shampoos my hair does are likely to grow to be a little bit thinner and simply kinda sits flat on account that its so striaght. Are attempting a pair one-of-a-kind shampoos. And unique ones for the scalp, like head and shoulders, anything that simluates or refreshes your head. There are alot of creams to leave in after your hair is washed. Distinct types of brushes can pull extra hair out and make it smash less complicated. Try a pair extraordinary ones too, rubber, steel, plastic.. And so forth. Use a comb when your hair is wet as a substitute of a brush. Sleep with a softer pillow case. I dont work in a hair salon .. These are simply things which have helped for me.

I went to the Dermatologist, and he did a biopsy of my head. That will find out the root problem with the hair not growing or not growing in some spots. In my case, it was determine that I had dead hair follicles that will not grow back because of years of putting perms, and hair dyes, in my hair.

Don't waste your money, like I did going to places, that promise you thick and longer hair. There are none. I can tell you I waste, over $4,000 in some Laser Treatment that did not work.

Go to your Dermatologist, he or she will get to the root of the problem for you. There maybe some oil ointment, that you need a prescription for. It did not work for me, but you never know it may work for you. Depending on the problem.

Good Luck.
