I am 22 years old and about to graduate from college in less than 2 years. I haven't began looking for a job yet, nor do I really know when to begin. I still enjoy buying sneakers and trendy clothes. Am I too old for this? Should I be wearing business suits now and high heels?

Its not so much about age appropriate - its more of a 'situation appropriate'. Hey at your age you should be comfortable kicking around in jeans and T's. Just know when the suit / dress are called for. Always have a black dress, tailored suit (dark gray with pinstripes?), at least two blouses to go with suit ( 1 white and 1 pale color of your choice) basic heels (black), panty hose just in case, and a nice fitting basic black coat (classic trench is ok, all black). Nothing says "too young" like a great outfit topped with some kind of jean or quilted coat! Whatever you pick make sure you are comfortable and make it your own. There are always subtle ways to express yourself and keep it work/job friendly and it will add to your statement of who you are. Trendy jewelery will snap an outfit right up. Not a big expense to keep your classics up to date.

This all partially depends on the field you are going into--
My girlfriend Lori wears t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers almost everyday.
Most days I wear a dressy suit with a skirt and heels.
You should know how to dress 'businessy" and how to wear heels without looking like you're pulling a plow.

You should have at least a parttime job now, so that when you graduate, you have work experience....

Watch a few episodes of What Not to Wear on TLC. You can learn a lot about what is appropriate. It doesn't mean you need to dress old, you need to find things that work with your body.
