My friend told me that cats are dangerous. I was like "really, why?". She said she saw on tv that a cat was abandoed at pet store by a owner and it got angry, attacked a lady from high-level shelf and had to get lot of stitches. I was wondering because I'm thinking about getting cats in future. Are they that dangerous?

I saw the video, the cat was in a convenience store, they theorized the lady was wearing a perfume or soap that triggered the attack, it was an incredibly rare incident, and I wouldn't let that be your influence on whether or not to get a cat. Ask yourself if you can properly care for a cat first.

I haven't had any problems out of my four cats being dangerous. Nor have I ever been in contact with a dangerous cat. Cats are like any other domestic animals whether it is a dog, bird, etc... if provoked, wild, scared, etc., it will act out if it feels like it needs to. Be kind to your cat or any other domestic animal for that matter and it will be nice to you.

Not if they are taken care of and loved. But a kitty that has been abandoned is going to get pretty scared.

I've had cats for a very long time. And they are no more dangerous than dogs are.

I have three cats and they are very loveable. I have raised them just like I would a baby and they respond that way. They are spoiled rotten. Any animal can be dangerous, but I think if they are raised with love and kindness they will respond to that. If they are mistreated then they might be vicious, but wouldn't you?

Never heard of anything so silly in my life. Yes, a cat will scratch and/or bite if annoyed. But most cats will run from strangers and sure as heck won't attack those they love.

Just like dogs, It depends on how they are raised. Some cats can be really mean. I would suggest you get a kitten that wayyou can raise it to be friendly and used to people.

No, they are great! When cats are well cared for and loved they can be your best friends and cuddle buddy! Don't let your friends bizarre story scare you off cats!
