I could not care less about their mortal authority, I'll accept it as a sincere curse if I've really crossed the line.
If somebody wishes me to " go to hell " in any spiritual sense
the only possible answer is ' after you, please ' because they are definitely exceeding their moral authority.
And I'm a very polite person and will happily keep the door open
for them !.

Yes, only one has that authority, I realize you don't believe in that, but I truly hope you never hear those words from the only one who has the authority to use them

The only one who will condem you to hell is yourself... even God does not want you to go to hell... but unless you come to God in The Way he prescribes... that is where you will end up...by your own choice... those who tell you you are going to hell are only telling you what you already have decided to do... nothing personal...just the truth...

Apparently they're ignorant. Reminds me of T3 when one character tells the Terminator (Arnold's role) to "drop dead" and he simply replies, "I am unable to comply." and keeps on driving. Nobody can tell you to go anywhere nor do anything you do not wish you.

I tell people to go to hell all the time.
It's just metaphorically representing my wish for them to suffer due to their ignorance, annoyance, or disrespect.
