I do the Tarot for myself occasionally, from when I learned in my wild witchy days. LOL
They aren't "pinpoint" accurate but they DO answer my questions for me ... if I ask a question about my relationship, I don't get an answer about finances. When I ask a question about my career, I usually get a job-related answer instead of advice on travel, health or "a tall, dark and handsome stranger."
It CAN be vague, but it can also be spot on.

I used to play tarot cards as a teenager till my late 20s. They used to come out accurately all the time.
Then one day, I realized something.
What if my belief in events to occur was what was making it happen and not the cards themselves. At the time, all my readings had at least some bad cards, always accurate. When I quit, all the unusual bad things went away until this day. So I am pretty convinced that I was right. You put yourself under your own spell when you do this, creating your future with unnecessary negative thoughts implanted on you by cards picked. It's like throwing your future like the toss of the dice. When you believe something is going to happen, it will, especially the negative things. Let's turn that around . . .
Try instead using positive visualizations only and see the difference. It works. Quit the Tarot while there's still time. Visualize your life for yourself! If you need help, watch the Secret, it's free on Google and YouTube

"True" about what? Tarot cards are one of many items that people have used for centuries to help facilitate intuitive abilities. The ability is not in the cards but in the imagination and sensitivity of the card reader. Whether they "work" or not is a matter of perception and opinion. Tarot cards also have been used as meditational items and originally were simply cards used for a game similar to bridge. Regular playing cards, coffee grinds and tea leaves, shiny surfaces, coins and sticks, and a multitude of other items have been used for fortune telling as well.
I have just finished writing a series of essays about the history of the Tarot and how to use the cards on my 360 blog (accessed through my profile here). It may give you and your cousin some educational insight about the cards.

They could be true but it is adviseable to avoid them. Like for example if a Tarot card reader told me that i will meet the man of my dream at work on weds @ 4pm. Then on wednesday @ 4pm, im at work and knowing that the man of my dream is there. What if i got the wrong man when the right man is right front of me. U understand me? Im not sure if im clear but because i know the future and im changing my fate. Erm... this is my view but everyone views are vary.

Each tarot card has its own story that goes along with it.
They all have different meanings....but they are very general....
Each card scenario happens to everyone.
It's more of introspection than future predicting.
Each person can read something different from each tarot card.....
sorry I don't have the best words to explain....bad at english!!

hmm i think it depends on the experience of the reader and whether or not they are just doing it to make money or they really have the intuition to read people's lives. I got a reading and it was pretty on point with describing me. the reader also told me what to do in my love life. I did it and it back fired. they say you can't reveal your reading to anybody or else it won't come true. maybe that's where i went wrong.

that depends on what you expect from them.
I see divination as advice. It gives you introspection to your questions so that you can have a fresh look at it. No future is set in stone. Just by having a reading you alter it. It only "comes true" if you want it to.

It's a parlor game. The answers are too general to be totally true. Anybody can read anything into them and this is what makes them seem true.
