Should I boycott the wedding?

BTW, that's how my parents got married -- on a beach. Maybe that's why I'm a heathen?

Is her marrying on the beach really have that great of an effect on you????

That's a bit small-minded of you to boycott a wedding just because it's at the beach as opposed to being inside a church. This is your FRIEND'S wedding and not your own, therefore, she has every right to do as she pleases and get married in a place that she feels comfortable in. Maybe the beach is signifcant to them?

Don't be petty about something like this.

Isn't God everywhere? Why would a beach mean that God wouldn't be present at a wedding or any other ceremony?

A church is not the building that worship services are held in, a church is the people that have come together to worship, praise and pray to God.

God created the beach. There is nothing wrong with getting married in nature. Go to the wedding and support your friends and their decision on how to make this their day.

Whether or not a wedding is considered a Christian wedding has less to do with where the ceremony is held than with what happens at the ceremony. If you are concerned that the wedding is not appropriate from a religious standpoint, base that judgement on the content of the ceremony -- Do they include God in their vows and in their ceremony. Not on where it is located.

How do you know that getting married in a church is of God? Where is it written that a church is the place to get married? Go to the wedding and enjoy it like they will enjoy each other and have some fun. There's nothing wrong with it, quit letting this church thing question you!

Depends on what kind of a friend you are. Why would you think it is any better to get married in a church than outside? Didn't God make the beach and sunshine?

If you are a supportive friend, you would want to support them in their choices. There is a difference between "agreeing with" their choices and "supporting" their choices. Be a good friend and attend their wedding. however, in time and at the right moments (maybe even long after the wedding) let them know of your feelings about it and your testimony of what God's will is.
Do not be overly judgmental as that can destroy a relationship. Being loving and kind.

Your friend wants to celebrate her love, and you want to boycott the wedding because of the location? You're no friend. If you were you would support your friend no matter the location... and isn't God everywhere??? Didn't God create the beach??? So what's the problem.

yes lets figure the logic in what you just asked. Inside a church with god or outside with nature without god. God never made any church people did, where as God created nature and mad did not. So God is more likely to be inside a church made by man but not outside in nature in which he created?

If you are even thinking of boycotting the wedding, how much of a friend are you really? God does not only live in church, you can pray and have a religious ceremony outside just as well as you can have one in a church.

The Bible says "wherever two or more are gathered in my name I am there also". A church is more than bricks and mortar. Nature is Gods handiwork, I would not boycott the wedding.
