I was sold a car on Auto trader that not only had a rebuilt title that I was never told about, but also has a cracked frame. I am unable to even get it titled in my state as it has to pass inspection and it won't with the cracked frame. Therefore, I have a car that I can't get in my name, fix, get inspected, or even sell without a title. Do you think I should pursue this legally to try to get my money back. It was $2500

You put the "S" in sucker. LOL!!!

This must be a truck or SUV or older model car if it has a frame. All cars are unibody and don't have frames these days. Newer cars (front wheel drives) do have an "H-frame" under the engine to hold it to the body and these will bend and crack in crashes. They are not that expensive to replace ($400-500) or repair at a welding shop if possible.

I'd look into repair costs verses trying to recover the $2,500.

If it looks like a lose-lose situation, you can barter a good price at a junkyard since it runs and drives and has lots of salvageable parts they can sell.

Good Luck!

All I can say is Caveat Emptor. You might be able to get money back by threatening with a lawyer but probably not.
The rebuilt salvage title _should_ make your car licensable since to earn the 'rebuilt' part of that title, the car has to pass a fairly strict inspection.
Anyway, you should have the 'rebuilt salvage' title in your possession, so advertise the car for sale and don't omit anything about it. You probably won't get your entire 2500 bux but something beats a blank.

OKAY THE SALVAGE TITLE AND THE CRACKED FRAME ARE ITEMS THAT THE SELLER SHOULD HAVE DISCLOSE AND BESIDES WHAT EVERYONE IS TELLING YOU, YOU MAY NOT BE UP A CREEK JUST YET.

1. DID THE SELLER NOTIFY YOU OF THESE PROBLEMS ????

2. DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING WITH THE AD THE SELLER USED TO DESCRIBE THE VEHICLE ????

3. YOU DO YOU HAVE A PRETTY GOOD CHANCE OF GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK THROUGH THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT.

4. SEND THE SELLER A CERTIFIED LETTER EXPLAINING WHAT YOU WANT AND WHAT YOU INTEND TO DO AND SEND IT RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED.

5. WAIT FOR A RESPONSE OR THE RETURN OF THE LETTER.

GOOD LUCK AND SOMETIMES THESE TYPE OF (BS) COMES BACK TO BITE THE SELLER.
