This is talking about ANYONE that wont hear and obey God, with the full teachings of Jesus Christ . PPL try to say its just for the unbelievers, the unsaved, it is NOT. GOd tells us that those born of God will not deliberately sin. Go to 1 John 3:9 and see that. He also tells us there is a time HE will stop striving with us. God will wink at a few things as we are new baby Christians and dont know much yet. But we must obey what we know to Obey, as we search to know more , and when we are truly born of God, we will hate sin as much as GOd does. Once you are born again, you dont continue in your fallen sin nature You became a new creation and you have the mind of Christ. Jesus didnt just die to save us from spiritual death, He died that we may have the power of His blood thru the Holy SPirit to be MORE THAN CONQUERORS over sin, and tells us that. HE doesnt just suggest we be like Jesus. HE commands us to be like JEsus, and we can be, only by obediance to the full Word of God. This obedience is what leads to God being able to change our minds to make us like Jesus. IT is nothing we can do on our own. Its by the Spirit.
PPL say they believe, its easy to say. Even the devil believes. But He says, If you love me, obey me. HE didnt say do it when its easy and convenient. He just said OBEY ME.
If we arent obeying God, we are only offering HIm lip service that He will not recognize and say HE never knew us. Thats all in the Bible. If we want Gods blessings on earth and our salvation to be assured, we must obey GOd and count it as joy to do so. The gift of salvation is absolutely free We cant earn it or buy it BUt, we can lose it by abandoing God and refusing to obey the Holy Spirit as the Holy SPirits leads us to all things to change and be more like Christ.
God says by their fruits you will know them fruits meaning actions. SO when someone says I am Christian, but lives like the rest of the world, they arent Christians, except in name only. A Christian is a follower of JEsus Christ, and that means we obey Him, and want to. We want only to serve HIm because He loves us and we love HIm We arent buying our way into heaven, or working for it. But God does tell us faith without works counts as nothing, it is dead.
So we obey God because we love Him and HE loves us, not to earn brownie points into heaven> The gift is free. SO God tells us to hold on to we have so we dont lose it. Why would He say that if we cant ever lose it. This once saved always saved doctrine is not what Gods word says, He says Hold on to the prize I have given to you and talks a lot about how to hold onto and even how to lose it, thru disobedience. Disobedience still leads to curse.
WHen you are born again with the mind of Christ, the thoughts to sin are vile. Nothing tempts you anymore than it tempted Jesus and it is a decision to make to answer the full call of God or not.
Obedience is the key to all blessings and it guarantees our salvation, but doesnt pay for it, its free..... God bless ya.

Romans 11 is about the jews being grafted back in (the remnant that is to be saved in Israel)
And how gentiles are now being saved and are HIS-- the branches broken off are the Jews. They will be saved however for God promises this-- as you read the entire chapter. Read the verses above this which are:
11So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass(N) salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. 12Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion[b] mean!
13Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as(O) I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry 14in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and(P) thus save some of them. 15For if their rejection means(Q) the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? 16(R) If the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17But if(S) some of the branches were broken off, and you,(T) although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root[c] of the olive tree, 18do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19Then you will say, "Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in."
- So you see the branches broken off were the Israelites- the chosen ones that God has set aside to be grafted back in later- but we who are being saved are NOT taking their place, so we dare not think that or be arrogant about it.

This is speaking to Gentile Christians. The idea of the passage is that because Jewish people had rejected Christ, they were like branches broken off a tree (the tree being God's covenant), and that the Gentiles were like new branches grafted into the tree. He's telling the Gentiles not to turn away from God because they could also be broken off the tree, just as the Jewish people could be grafted back in if they return to God.

The natural branches are the Jews (God's Chosen People), He has turned his head for now and the Gentiles are grafted to the vine (Believing Christians). You have to believe to stay grafted to the vine.(Christ).
In the last days God will again draw his chosen people to himself. He has just blinded them to the truth because of their unbelief and disobedience in the desert.

it extremely is a cultural distinction between Catholics and protestant/born back Christians. there is a lot it extremely is taken with no attention to a Catholic. issues that are so basic that it surprises a Catholic whilst they're asked approximately it. a girl those days asked me if i became a Christian when I did a solid deed for her. i became bowled over all and sundry would even ask. i be attentive to in my suggestions that no longer honestly all of us is a Christian, yet from my upbringing, deep down, my first reaction is "What a stupid question! isn't honestly all of us?" once you're sufficiently previous you will desire to bear in mind the super "i stumbled on it!" flow back contained in the '70's. The Catholic reaction to this became perpetually "I on no account lost it!" Why do no longer Catholics communicate approximately being saved? in all possibility for a similar reason which you do no longer communicate approximately being lavatory knowledgeable.

My understanding of these scriptures is that Paul was speaking about the Jewish people who had heardened their hearts to receiving the Gospel of Grace, therefore they were blinded in part until the Gospel was given to the Gentiles. I believe Paul is warning the Gentiles not to make the same mistake as the Jewish people did. God bless you!!!

I'm afraid he's talking about the Jews and Christians. "spared not the natural branches" is talking about the Jews. Read the OT and you will see several episodes of condemnation against the Jews, and they are His FAVORITE!
Imagine how God will treat us...we need to stay on task and not vary from our path.

Because of Israel's stumbling the gentile believers are saved.
This passage deals with that matter.

No, Paul is talking about people who have received the Gospel and follow it for a time, but later fall away. Cross reference the second and third type of Gospel hearer in Jesus' "Parable of the Sower."
