if these mexicans are legal then its good for canada's economy coz these mexicans will become additional tax payers which will undoubtingly increase the country's revenue collection.... and if theyre illegal then they will be just become a bunch of additional mouths to feed for the canadian society wihtout even giving back the slightest compensation.....

If the entry is legal, there's no issue. It's good for all members of NAFTA (US, Canada, and Mexico).
If the entry is illegal (either by crossing undocumented, or by falsifying documentation and claiming refugee status) ... not good for any of the three nations.
If you note the statistics listed in the article, the increased number of Mexicans entering Canada (2003 vs 1998) was less than the increase for those entering the US over the same period. It's just that the PERCENTAGE increase is much higher for Canada, since there so few immigrants in the first place.
Mexcians can still enter the US ... they're not being turned down and then picking Canada as a second choice. They're choosing Canada first for a number of reasons ... primarily because the immigration laws are easier to understand and implement, and the overall acceptance level for immigrants is better in Canada.

Absolutely fantastic! Let the Canadian economy suffer because of the billions of dollars being sent to Mexico and NOT being spent in their own economy. Let the "model" socialist medical system of Canada take care of the diseases brought to them by Mexican immigrants. After the appropriate time spent waiting in line. Let the Canadian school system take care of educating their children. Does Canada allow the children of immigrants to automatically become citizens because they are born there?
Do the Mexicans realize that by showing a passport to enter Canada, they will be recorded as immigrants and forced to pay taxes for their medical care and children's education? Instead of getting it free as they do here in the U. S.?
Or is this merely a means of allowing Mexicans to illegally enter the U. S. from the northern border instead of the southern border?

It think that it is a good idea, and not becuase i am a racist pig like most of the other people that answered this questions but because there are more oportunities in Canada than in Mexico. Lets face it people its not that Mexicans want Mexico to be a bad place to live its not upto the people in Mexico its all about the Government, votes are useless and no matter what the people do. The corruption in Mexico starts in its Government.

Canada has stricter laws than the U.S.A. so I don't think you have the facts correct. Now if they are applying for citizenship that's a different story. By the way that's all we want Mexicans to do is to apply for citizenship and wait their turn after all this is the greatest country in the world that's why they want to come here so why not come legally.

I think it would be better for Mexico is they stayed there, since they're likely some of the more industrious and ambitious citizens of that nation. But, I'm not concerned over it, from the American PoV. It's not like there's a shortage of legal immigrants coming into our nation, not to mention the flood of illegals. Now, it might be a concern if we were failing to attract the legal limit of immigrants each year...

I just couldn't see it dude.
I mean it's just physical geography... unskilled Meixcan laborers probably can't afford a plane ride... so how does it makes sense for them to hitch or drive here?
And, contrary to the average American belief, Canada doesn't just hand out citizenship, we do have a long naturalization process IF you qualify, which is difficult as well.

They are still breaking the law and still crossing the US border illegally twice now and Canada's once, that should make them habitual violators upon capture.
Most states in the US have a 3 strikes and your out law.

How are they getting there? They can either swim a really long way, or they're still breaking US law, crossing the US to get into Canada.
