You can put anything you want on your tombstone. I like sausage and mushroom....lol.

Seriously, you can put anything you want as long as it's okay with the rules of the place the stone is going.

There are the symbols from Led Zep's fourth on a gravestone in Syracuse.

If it's a private cemetary, you can get whatever you want - assuming the cemetary doesn't have any specific rules regarding what goes on stones.

Military cemetaries are a different story. Hopefully, someone will be able to get a triquetra (or similar) approved; as for now, however, it's currently not, and the VA has been a right royal pain when it comes to getting certain symbols approved.

PS - Daughter, you're spot on.

PPS - LabGrrl - I'll see that, and raise you one - near Utica, there's one with the USS Enterprise on it. ;)

The Triqueta was a Celtic symbol first...oh crap...Land Sea and Sky? I so don't remember. Where is a CR when you need them. But yes it's also an Anglo-Christians symbol for the trinity that they borrowed. So it could go either way.
You're tombstone, your choice. IF my children choose to bury my ashes under a plaque, I ask they use an Asatru symbol. *shrugs

On a privately purchased gravestone you can put anything you want on it. If you're asking about a military headstone, there is a list of approved symbols that can be used. The Pentacle is approved. The triquerta is not. The full list can be found here: http://www.cem.va.gov/cem/hm/hmemb.asp

That depends on the regulations of the individual cemetary. For some it would represent the christian trinity.

Yes. It is the symbol of the Goddess in her 3 forms--maiden, mother, and crone.
