Couple of bottles of nice wine,
gift certificate to a very nice restaurant or fun weekend get-away spot,
his & hers day spa certificate,
anything to do with a hobby they share,
certificate for ballroom dance lessons (even if they know how to dance they can always learn something new at lessons),
any kind of pretty vase or photo frame (with gift reciept included),
boxed set of music from the 50's or 60's,
blanket, pillow, platter or frame personalized with the date of their wedding.
Hope this helps!

What about tickets to a dinner-theatre show or even a gift certificate to a really nice resteraunt. Old people usually have a lot of "things" but they don't go out as often, so this might be a way to remind them to go on a date!
Another idea is a couple's massage (if you think they'd be comfortable with that).
I know you said they have lots of stuff, but is there anything decorative for their home they might like, like a painting?
Are they planning on going on a honeymoon? Maybe you can get them some stuff for their trip. Or once I got a friend a gift certificate to go on an excursion of her choice while she was on vacation.
If all else fails, money is okay too. Most people do give money.

Yeah all of the couple-starting-out traditional gifts are out here. If you want to play it safe- a nice picture frame is always good. They'll at least take pictures of the event, and the older you get, the more pictures you have.
If you want to be a bit more daring, a work of art might not go amiss, especially if they're moving into a new place together. They'll want stuff that's "ours" and not just one or the other's from before.
Gift certificates to extravagant places are always good, especially if they're not the type to usually indulge. If theyre both of retirement age then money will always be welcome, as well.

RE:
Wedding gift ideas for 'older couple'?
I need to buy a wedding gift and I'm hoping you all can give me some ideas!
The wedding couple is in their 60's and it's second marriages for both.

Some ideas: A personalized painting made from a photograph of them together by a local artist. They can hang it in their home. Make them a basket filled with fruit, wine, chocolates, a pass for the theatre, etc. Tie it up in a nice bow in their wedding colors. Buy them a service, such as a dog walking or cleaning service 1x per month for 4 months (or the best deal you can get with your budget). Not romantic, but very practical and helpful for an older couple. Pay for a class for them to take together. You mentioned that they may like pottery bowls. Why not sign them up for a class and they can make their own together? A photo albulm/scrapbook filled with memories, pictures of them, poems, and stories that would be suited to their marriage and family histories. Very low cost and personal. Good luck!

how about a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant.
Or, money is always good..other then that - I'm sure they have most everything that they need for a house.

How about a real nice photo album? They most likely will be taking pictures of their life together.
