I have been recently diagnosed with a peanut allergy and have been having problems at the grocery store trying to find products to eat. Any suggestions so that I can just grag-and-go and not have to read every label.

The problem is that there are certain foods that you would think you can eat, but really can't. :) For instance I can't find a chocolate bar that doesn't say "Processed in a plant with peanuts" It's very annoying but essential to read all of the products ingredients for hidden messages.

If you look around (maybe in the health food section) they may have products specifically labeled NUT FREE that you can eat such as chocolate.

Boy, that's not fun!

In addition to all the wonderful suggestions, you might try your hand at making your own soups. I do that frequently with leftovers, and a crock will last my husband and me several days.
