What does the Bible say about homosexuality?
There are those who like to say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Various verses are cited (out of context) and the verses that people use to show that homosexuality is wrong are explained away. The world wants to change God's words and meanings into something more suitable to its sinful desires. Nevertheless, the truth stands: The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin. Let's look at what it says.
Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."
Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman. This is what God has ordained and it is what is right. Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.
What should be the Christian's Response to the Homosexual?
Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.
As a Christian, you should pray for the salvation of the homosexual the same you would any other person in sin. The homosexual is still made in the image of God -- even though he is in grave sin. Therefore, you should show him same dignity as anyone else you come in contact with. However, this does not mean that you are to approve of their sin. Don't compromise your witness for a socially acceptable opinion that is void of godliness.

I think, if you believe in God, then you believe God Created Everything!! Including Gay people. So if it is a sin, did God sin in creating gay people? I think not! I think God knew exactly what he was doing when he created all of us. I also know the Old Testament says "An eye for an eye." And the New Testament says to "Turn the other cheek." The Bible contradicts itself. Maybe because it was written by men and not by God. I hope you can be happy with and accept the person you are. I know God does, because he Made YOU exactly the way he wanted you to be. Have a Blessed Life!!! :)

i'm no longer a Christian, yet i think of in case you prefer a staggering Christian discourse your question could be accelerated previous homosexuality to contain all 'sin'. - do you commit a 'sin' via doing a deed, or via even questioning approximately doing the deed? additionally, the kind you have phrased your question you have doubtless commonplace that some people have gay thoughts. i might say in case you settle for the reality that some people are of course homosexuals (extremely of 'choosing' to be homosexuals), then i might think of it could be confusing to assert homosexuality replaced right into a sin. something of your question as phased is in basic terms what I pronounced above: does sin require doing a deed, or in basic terms questioning approximately doing the deed. i'm going to have an interest to verify what a number of your fellow Christians could say in this concern. good questions...

If you believe in God then yes, it's a sin. People who are Catholic, Christian, Protestant, Baptist, and all those other faiths say it is a sin to have sex with the same sex. Generally it is more accepted now but I'm not on any side. If you believe in God then you've got a big problem in your hands. That chapter in the Bible that you read is a list of what not to do, simply said: sins.

I do not feel it is a sin. I believe that whatever the Bible says against it is historical prejudice and not actually the decree of God. Remember the Bible was written by men, and men, no matter how inspired they are, are fallible.
My best friend is gay and he has a boyfriend and they love each other very, very much. As much as I, a female, love my boyfriend. Isn't that what its about? Love? Isn't God love? And isn't God genderless, too? So love should also be genderless.
My friend didn't choose to be gay. Why would he consciously choose to be something that will bring him nothing but ridicule and judgment. He almost killed himself over it. His father is a Methodist minister. He grew up in a very religious house. But he decided he had to be who he was. And I find no issue with that.

Why is that important?
What is really important is that you understand God's plan for our salvation.
We have all sinned. Doesn't matter how little or how much. The price we will pay for that sin is death.
God sent his son to Earth to die in our place. If we accept what he did for us and believe it in our hearts, we are saved.
When we do this, we die to the world and begin a new life with him. This does not mean we will no longer sin, but we will repent and turn from our sin and toward God.
The holy spirit will covict our hearts and guide us in the cleansing of sin from our life.
Commit your life to Christ and let the Holy Spirit show you the sin and grow in Christ.

in my religion it's a huge sin
i tell you why,God made a person a girl for a reason, and it's the same thing for a boy.i mean it's clear that God didn't create us to play,to sing and have fun but also to do something in our lives.
everything in this universe is made for a reason and we are not allowed to change it,even we don't like it.because God said that everything must be like this.
we can't change our nature....
i hope you find the right answer.

The Bible is full of contradictions and was not meant to be taken literally.
Decide for yourself what is right and wrong and what you are comfortable with--do not let it be decided by others and/or a book. By doing that, you are not staying true to yourself and in the end you will end up suffering for it. There is nothing wrong with being gay and you should not feel any shame in being who you are.
