I don't think you can beat natural or traditional baits these days.
Everyone uses boilies and the carp have had enough of them or are wary of them. When was the last time you saw someone using worms, slugs, snails or caddis? I hit on this notion after fishing a water hard and only catching one fish which promptly shat out a load of water snails and caddis. The next time I fished it I used natural baits and couldn't stop catching.

A trick my grandfather taught me. The best bait for carp is Wheaties. Yes the cereal. Take a handful of Wheaties, crunch it up, then dip your hand in water. Keep mashing with your hand until the cereal turns into a sticky dough. Pack this around a #10 or 12 treble hook and fish it on the bottom. If there are carp in the water they can't seem to resist this bait.

i understand this sounds wierd, yet my uncle cathes them on Zara Spook appropriate Water bass lures. in the process the warmth of the day, while the carp come as much as the appropriate to play interior the solar, he will come across a gap the place he can see different them playing on the exterior and solid to that section. The carp will spook and run away for slightly, yet he in basic terms leaves the seize the place it extremely is. After a minute or so, the carp come decrease back to the exterior. while the do, he barley twitches the seize. This seems to activity the carp, and the team around the seize and initiate mouthing it. while considered one of them gets it under the water, he instruments the hook and brings it in.
