I'm totally looking forward to it! but i think i'll avoid glass ornaments... i dont need glass in my feet. And im going to avoid tinsel too... i dont to deal with them eating it and trying to poop it out.
They are the only reason im getting a tree this year (i dont have children so... i find it silly to get a tree just for me)

I'm getting my kitten neutered the day we put up the Christmas tree so at least he'll be out of the way for a few days haha
We always put our ornaments and lights up high, leaving the bottom of the tree bare which makes it less tempting for our cats. We also usually tie the tree with fishing line to something like a window handle so the tree can't fall over.
Hope your kitty doesn't do too much damage! :)

Oh my God it's the best thing in the world! Years ago we picked up a stray and she had six kittens (the mother and kittens we kept, of course!) And we had a huge tree that they just terrorized!
Lmao I never knew that so many cats could be on a tree at a time!
Oh, and also watching a chinchilla climb the tree is equally entertaining.
Have a fun Christmas!

First Christmas or 19th Christmas.....destruction follows at any age!! We have a yearly tree plan that ensures the tree is safe from the little darlings.......it came about after a couple experiences that left much damage and crying children!!! It involves many eye hooks and a LOT of fishing line!!!!! Of course there is the ONLY plastic ornaments too!!!!!!!

Can't wait for the fun to begin when the tree goes up but am also dreading it being pulled over, destroyed, tindel eaten and decorations broken also!! oh well, something us cat lovers all have to go through i guess!

My 7 year old cat loves to hid under the tree. I just got a 6 week old kitten, and I cant wait for him to get his presents, and to play with the wrapping paper, and sit under the tree.

I have a kitten, and a cat who is 3 years old.......this will be the first Christmas for both of them, and I'm so excited. The older cat is pretty mellow but the kitten is out of control!!!! Should be fun.

Same here Tiffy, I've got a 6 month pup that will no doubt destroy my tree, presents, etc. And probably try to swallow something that will require a vet visit. :-P Aren't puppies fun? (sarcasm)
