You just got to walk down the Esplanade in Cairns and you will not be short of picking a restaurant! You could also go to Dunwoodys Tavern 317 Sheridan Street - It is half way to the city from the Airport, you can't miss it, ask the Taxi driver to show you when you arrive here.
Just remember to make a reservation for Christmas lunch or dinner.
