Hi experts.
Recently the passenger side tail light of my 2006 toyota corolla LE stopped functioning completely. The brake light, blinker and reverse lights do not illuminate at all. I don't know much about cars or electronics but I'm sensing this might have something to do with a fuse of some kind.
Does anyone know of things I could try myself before giving into the repair mechanic?

Thanks so much for your help.

how many miles on this car if you repaced bulb (if you did it right) and still dosent work then something else is wrong however if this car has less than 36,000 miles then it still has a full bumper to bumper warenty take it to a toyota dealer they should fix it for free or just charge you for light.

It is hard to tell if you mean all of the lights that don't work are on one side or not. Normally the tail, turn signal, brake, and backup lights are all fused separately but both sides of the car are on one fuse. If all of the lights in one housing don't work you have a wiring problem. Wires disconnected or maybe the housing isn't grounded. If you are saying that the only bulb that works is the left tail light then you probably have one bad tail light bulb and several bad fuses. Whew!
Good luck.

there's a rubber seal that gose around the tail gentle lens. whilst they get old they crack and leak. That how the water have been given in. sure i'd drain it spray the relationship with WD40.FYI WD stands for water displacement. Get 2 new seals cas if the single is undesirable the different one is going to be going undesirable besides greater ideal to do them as a pair and it would be greater then 15 greenbacks. Get all new bulbs and get some bulb grease which will see the relationship from moisture. positioned all of it decrease back at the same time and you're accomplished. fee you possibly 25 greenbacks for each little thing and take you approximately 30 minutes to do the two area. sturdy success.

I would not look at a fuse, there are more than one fuses that controll all the lights, if it was a fuse both sides woulod be out.
Check behind the light there is a plug that has all teh wires to the light, if it has come loose or a bad ground there it can cause the whole light to be out

Try replacing the fuse.
