well, if he doesn't hear voices, I would say that the Paxil worked and he should probably still be on it. Schizophrenia doesn't just magically disappear, tho it does respond to treatment.

It probably means his medication is working, which is fantastic!
But, I'm sure if he were to get off it , the voices would come back. I have a family member with schizophrenia, and unfortunately her meds don't work as well, but if she were to get off all together, they would come back much stronger.

Getting off his meds probably would not be a good plan.

I am assuming that you mean schizophrenia, although there are other illnesses that will make you hear voices. If a person with schizoprenia adheres to their medication schedule, the chemical imbalance in their brain is dealt with and they are the same as anybody else.

He will be ok as long as he keeps taking whatever medications help him. He has to see a doctor often, and keep on the meds.

Mental illness is something that is treatable, and people with it can live a normal life as long as they stay on the treatment.

It means he is responding to treatment. If he stops taking his meds he may begin having symptoms again.

He needs to take SHROOMS. They're like an anti-skitso drug.
