I'm not only asking about Mexicans and whether they're illegal or not, just immigration in general.

Immigration is bad for America. We have more then our fair share of immigrants in our shores now. We need to start taking care of our own people and worring less about everyone else.

I don't care whether they are legal or illegal, it is time to put a cap on immigration. That is how the terrorists got it for 9/11 if you think about it.

Close the borders...and lets take care of our own.

Legal immigration adds to the vitality of this country. In fact, this country would not be as great as it is if not for legal immigrants. A prime example is Albert Einstein. Those that enter legally help us grow. Illegal immigrants suck the life and finances from America and many only wish to cash in and then return to their home nation.

Because the birth rate in the United States is lower thant he Death rate. This is usually status quo with most industrialized Western countries. What this means, is that without immigration, the population of the United States would be declining. This would inevitably cause labour shortages (especially in health care and some service industries directly tied in with the aging population).. and labour shortages as a whole because of the newer generations not being able to replace the retiring generation.

This equals a scaling back of the economy, and a recession.

Immigration solves this problem.

Look at it this way. Your ancestors were at some point immigrants. This country was formed by the decedents of immigrants and grew to what it is by immigrants. So with out them we would not be where we are today. This Contry would still be inhabitited by native americans with out immigrants.

People from different backgrounds enrich each other's lives by bringing together parts of many different cultures.

I work with people from over 22 different countries, and I have learned things about their countries of origin that I would never have known otherwise. Some of my best friends are from England, Ireland, Scotland, Romania, Russia, Croatia, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, Spain, France, Italy, Jamaica, Belize, El Salvador, Israel, Iran, Morocco and Canada.

It allows for a more diverse, skilled and competitive workforce.

Edit: Of course, you will have quite a few who want to equate immigration with illegal immigration. For some reason, these people cannot seem to separate the two in their minds.
