i want to know the best way to strength your immune system because soon it is going to be cold&flu season. i already have a cold. so i want to know the best way to strength your immune system so it can fight off a cold or flu

Take a multivitamin every day with some extra vitamin C.

There are a few things you can do

- eat lots of fruit and vegetables

- exercise outdoors (especially if you work in an climatized office)

- take zinc and vitamin C

- try a cold rinse after a warm shower. Start with your right calf and work your way up to your hips, then do the left leg. If you are brave enough, continue with rest of the body

1. Be sure you are getting enough sleep. Adults need about 7 to 8 hours each night to ensure that their immune system is working at its best. Teens and kids need even more sleep.

2. Eat lots of fruit and veggies. They are the best sources of antioxidents, vitamins, and micro-nutrients that our immune systems need. Supplements are ok, but fresh produce is better.

3. Try not to get too stressed, feeling stressed for long periods of time can suppress the immune system.

4. Exercise. Try to at least walk briskly for 20 minutes each day. Moderate excercise boosts the immune system.

In addition to tending your immune system; be sure to wash your hands frequently, and and clean surfaces that you touch frequently-like phones, key boards, counters, etc.

Dr. OZZ was just on Oprah and he said to take Vitamins A B C D and E and to eat a diet rich in Fruits and Fish and Green Vegetables

I like to take Echinacea everyday. It helps to strengthen my immune system. I still get sick, but just not as often and when I do get sick, it's not as severe.

esp grapes, berries, and green based vegetables[[broccoli, celery, peas...etc]]
