covenant is with Isaac instead of Ishmael?

This is a serious question and hopefully I'll get answers on both sides.

Have a great day.

The reason I asked this is because I was reading questions in the Israel section and someone asked if there would ever be peace between Israel and Palestine. There were a few Muslims who answered there would not be peace because of their prophecy that says the violence will continue and escalate. They were suppose to be fighting is what it seemed like.

Here's the awful truth: Wars are always about the control of resources. Religion is just a very effective way of selling the idea that killing one's fellow human beings is good.

I believe that it started with the first killing Adam and Eve's sons Cain and Able...I am a Muslim BIG SURPRISE we believe that was the first murder. From that day forward people started killing people, Old Arab proverb..Me against my brother,me and my brother against our cousins. My brothers and cousins against our village, our village against our country, our country against the world. In Islam we have major theological differences but Isaac Ishmail and Jesus' cruxifction is not what we fight for..we fight for one legitimate reason only Unlawful occupation of our land as do you...Opression of our faith and we live very well in many countries with Christians and Jews...some not but it's not about our faith Muslims killing except for rules of engament
is wrong and it's going on right now between Muslims but that is about greed, war profiteering, and acts of random violence and these Muslim's will suffer for their actions. There is a beautiful church that is in the occupied West Bank in Palestine. Palestinian Christians stay side by side with their neighbors for the same reason they don't want to leave their churches, homes, and property. Do you think all the causulties are Muslim people in Iraq,Lebanon, and Palestine.
Christians Arabs get hit by those missles and mortars too!

I think you are a villager living all by yourself in your house. You should travel around and visit the Muslims even if you can find them somewhere in your country. U sound like a country bumpkin whose getting all the news from the media. Go to a muslim country, Malaysia or Dubai or even Iran or Saudi, there r lots of non Muslims living happily, sadly you are the miserable one at home watching only the media.

I hate to say it, but AnArdRi is correct. Not that I mind him being correct, but religion is often a way to sell conflict rather than the actual cause. Very likely, regardless of the belief about "God's covenant" the two races would be in arms over the the land.

I'm just not smart enough to know the answer to this question, but since I believe in Jehovah I believe that God made us different for a reason. I also believe he wants us to get along with each other. I believe there is more than just one road to heaven.
That's what I believe.

The thing is people are creating trouble in every side of this world..!! if we say muslim create trouble .. we must analyze what is the reason??
is it the power??
or the religion??

there are many reasons..!!! far beyond this..!!
for example.. consider Saddam husain.. he became powerful only because of US .. since US wanted him to support them and war against Russia..!! but later he came to know the fact that US is trying to use him as a toy..!! so he started war against them..!!
same is the case with osama bin laden..!!!

I think a lot of conflict in this world could be solved if NO ONE believed "MY people are God's CHOSEN ONES." This applies to ANY religion that believes along those lines.

Live, let live, etc.

I think there would be fewer problems in the world if people would stop trying to prove each other wrong about their chosen religions, and/or stop killing in their god's name. It's so much easier for sheeple to murder others when they are doing it for their gods.

no wars or problems would exist if all religion would vanish. you are fighting over a difference of opinion and that is pointless killing.
