For early Christians, Reincarnation was the norm. Also, the apostles definitely believed in reincarnation, and Jesus implies it so when talking about John the Baptist being Elijah reincarnate.

Maybe some very ignorant ones, but not generally. The Bible teaches resurrection, not reincarnation, and Evangelicals are conservative champions of the Bible. There may be some liberals who still think of themselves Evangelical that would allow Hindu ideas into their theology.

Believe it or not some Christians I have met do believe in reincarnation. I used to be more familiar with the scriptures that they used. Perhaps someone else can put them here. Here is something you may find unusual. I am a total pagan and I still do not believe in reincarnation.. Friends that know me still find this hard to believe.

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
KJV
This Bible verse was of interest because I know a person that not only believes that there is reincarnation but that it is supported in the Bible. This is but one place in the Bible that indicates that we are only here ONCE.

I doubt it. No Christian, whether Catholic or Protestant, should believe in reincarnation.
The Bible (the letter to the Hebrews, specifically) is clear that human beings live on this earth only once.

Some may, I suppose, but the Bible says in Hebrews 9:27, "man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment."
