I am going on 30 and I am getting into wine tasting. I love welches grape juice and wanted to know if there was a wine that taste close to this. I'm not really finding a wine that I like where Im not turning my nose up to. If anyone has some good advise...I would love to hear. I want to find something where I could have a glass with dinner.

Thanks
Jules

If you actually like Welches grape juice and that is the flavor your looking for - try Mogan David. You could get the Mogan David Concord and mix it with a little club soda - bingo - grape soda pop with a punch.

If you want to experiment with better quality wines, try some Clos du Bois as a good starter wine. Probably Cabernet for red and Chardonney for white.

Jules......A glass of wine daily, has been proven to be good for a person. Your best bet, is to buy a book on wines & that will educate you as to what wine is best for your tastes & what wine to serve with certain cuisine. Try a Sangria & see if you like the taste of that, since you like Welch's grape juice. You'll learn what determines a wine to be dry, etc. If a local winery ever holds a public wine tasting party, go to one & sample the wines & cheese & crackers that are served as well. It's a good way to see what tastes good to you. Make sure you write down the names of the wines you like. You can buy the wine at the wineries instead of buying them elsewhere. I love the Sangria wine they serve at Carrabba's Italian Restaurant & Grill. It's served with chunks in it & they mix it up there daily.

If you have a Trader Joe's nearby hit up the Charles Shaw, surprisingly good wine, awesome price. I'm a fan of the cabernet.
