I don't think there is any question as to whether men wrote the bible or not, so even if it was under the influence of god couldn't they have gotten something wrong? Humans aren't perfect.

This has been my concensus all along. The Bible was written by men in a time of men, it excludes the persepctive of 50% of the world population.

There are flaws, but the basic principles stand.

be nice to people
be nice to the earth
be nice to yourself

No. There is NO chance that the bible can be wrong anywhere in it. God is sinless and therefore, cannot make mistakes. God is perfect; He knows NO sin, which means, the Holy Men of God that wrote the bible wrote it with the guidance and influence of the Holy Spirit, therefore, they could not have made any mistakes writing it. Humans aren't perfect, but God IS, so with God's direction, they could not have made any mistake writing it! Again, God is perfect; without sin. He cannot change and cannot sin.

Of course humans are imperfect, but you must also consider this: Isn't God powerful enough to ensure that the message was correct?

Even in our modern life, if a good boss asks his secretary to write up a report, wouldn't he proofread the document to ensure that it is correct?

And are we to expect less of God? We are made in His image, wouldn't he be not just a good boss, but a perfect one?
