Nope. I don't think there is a single breed that is bad. Now, the people that tend to own Pitbulls are usually complete morons, which is why Pitbulls have a bad reputation. Thanks to the few really good Pit owners there are still some wonderful examples of the breed left. Too many people get them to look 'tough' and they have no clue how to properly train a strong breed.
Honestly, when raised and trained correctly, I think Pitbulls are one of the best breeds there are. I am in love with Dobermans, but if I could not have a Dobie, I wouldn't mind a well bred Pitbull at all.

No, if pitbulls are raised properly with love and firm training, they're as good as any other dog. However, all dogs have the potential to bite or snap when provoked, and large dogs can do more damage than small ones. You need to be aware of your dog when it is around people and not let it get into situations where it may be provoked. This applies to all dogs, though.

No! But just like any other breed considered "dangerous", Rotties, German Shephards, etc. They must be raised and trained right, also with lots of love and human contact.
I believe that what has turned some of these dogs into "dangerous dogs" is the people who raise them. I also do believe also that through some of the lineages of these dogs that some tempermentlness can be passed down...but the truth is poodles can be tempermental also in some lineages.
So just pick from a litter where the parents are amazing dogs temperment wise and train and raise the puppy right and you will have an incredible dog!

I have had two pit bulls and they were two of the most loving dogs I had ever had. When I moved to town, I put up a 6 foot chain link fence to keep the kids out and the dogs in. But, people teased them tremendously. I would come home and find large sticks and pipes inside the fence. Even a small tire. A bicycle seat. Large rocks.Yes, a few owners do make pit bulls bad by encouraging them to fight. But, I believe it is the outsiders that do the most harm.

No bad dogs, just bad owners. Unfortunately, Pitts have become a status symbol to a lot of unscrupulous people, who simply keep the dog because of its vicious appearance. Volunteering in a shelter, I can't begin to tell you how many Pitts I see that are brought in by animal control because they are so-called vicious or they have been used for fighting. These dogs are just scared to death when they come in and you look into their big brown eyes, it just breaks my heart. Because of ignorant, asinine people, not only did these poor pooches have to endure months or years of abuse being trained to fight, but then they have to live in the shelter until a judge decides whether they live or die. Nine times out of ten, they are euthanized unnecessarily, because with the proper training from an educated owner, these dogs would make great pets. Pitt bulls are a big, strong dog with a tendency to be a little headstrong. But if they are raised in a loving environment, with proper training and a responsible owner, they are loyal, loving companions.

No I think the way some people raise them is bad. I have had some and if you treat them right they are just like any other dog. I do believe that if one turns the bites might be more severe and unfortunately you can never tell when an animal may attack just like you can never tell when a person will turn.

No. But I do think that alot of pitbull owners are bad dog owners.
Pitbulls are big, strong, energetic dogs that require alot of discipline and excersize that most owners do not give them.
But unabused pitbulls are really nice and sociable dogs, they just can hurt you without meaning it.

Ten Reasons to hate pit bulls:
10. They will steal your spot on the couch while you are up getting a soda.
9. They will take the treat you give them and bury in the back yard like a paranoid crack head hiding their stash.
8. They will jump on your bed with muddy feet. Making you do laundry…again.
7. They will lick visitors with an uncontrolled passion only they understand.
6. They will cause children to smile.
5. They will make you feel horrible for not walking them by looking at you with deep sad eyes.
4. They will look at you like you committed a crime against them if you don’t let them lick your ice cream bowl.
3. They will cause wide spread happiness in large group settings.
2. They will crack you up by shaking their butts so hard you think they are going to snap in half.
1. They will steal your heart like a thief in the night, showing you complete and pure love that only a Pit Bull can show.

Pit bulls aren't bad dogs. The owners are bad. That's all there is to it. I've got an adopted pit bull /presa canario and she's the best dog I've ever owned.
Not to mention, working at an animal shelter, I've seen MANY MANY pit bulls. And yet, I've met more little dogs that are mean and aggressive, than I have pit bulls.
