we are building an gps/ins system for an automobile. what software do u suggest we should use in creating a program that would analyze and process the raw data?

Two that I have had experience with:

1. It depends on the Processor platform, but for a wide variety of microprocessors, VxWorks is a good real-time operating system that has been used on many embedded systems around the world.

2. If you can't afford VxWorks, the latest from Green Hills (I have used their products before) is:

Or just Google "RTOS" for several vendors.
