Expect to fill the bottle during your physical at the MEPS and at least once while you go through training.

Yes, I was tested at MEPS right before I shipped out, then tested the same night I got to Basic. After Basic, you can get randomly tested at any time: tech school (AIT), your first base etc. Heck, I've been randomly picked to be drug tested 3 times just since I've been pregnant... if you're worried about this now chances are you don't need to try and get in. You may not be caught right away but sometime you will get caught and it wont be pretty.

You are tested at the Induction Center,and to make sure,while you are being shook down for contraband at the Recruit depot the test is done again.
If you had to ask this obvious question,you are a doper and I don't want you in my Marine Corps!

Yup, they sure do! It's one of the first things you do when you get there, so start sucking down water at the airport!!
You get to stand in front of a urinal, along with a few other guys, with your pants around your ankles, and you don't leave until you pee in the little cup. That's how the Navy does it at least..

Wow, are we a drug user? yes they test you, and yes they should and John you can do all the drugs you want but please don't make it sound like the military knew about it and you didn't get tested because they didn't want to catch you.
Drugs and the military do not mix, its a great way to get yourself and others killed.
And john what ever possesed you to believe that stuff about the food in amsterdamn, OZZO and Jagermiester?

yeap. once at MEPS right before you ship and again as soon as you get to Basic/Boot. and then randomly from then on.
heck, DH's number has come up several times in a row.

when i went in to the air force in 1981, they didn't because they knew you would probably come back dirty from your going away parties.
they also didn't test me after returning from amsterdam vacation because they know your going to come back dirty.
weed is baked into the food,
ouzo has opium
yagermeister has heroin
to sfc ollie -- it's a fact, i know through personal experience. also i was almost killed twice by airmen who were drunk, but a stoner never came close to killing me.
