D&C 122:8
D&C 19:16-19 is another one of my favorites.

There are also a ton of good ones throughout the Book of Mormon. I love the ones that told that Christ shall go forth among the children of men and suffer our pains and afflictions. It is great to know that Christ is there to help us and He really knows what it is like to be in our shoes, no matter what situation we are in.

Third Nephi 17:21-25 Christ blesses the little children and they are surrounded by angels and fire. Christ weeps for joy.

well...lets see. I guess my favorite would have to come from the Book of Mormon where when he comes to the Nephites after his crucifixion and blesses the children, heals the sick and performs the miracles that he performed for the Jews. It reinforces the true nature of Christ and reaffirms that he is my Savior.

Depends on the situation, but I'll tell you about one that has been very inspirational in great moments of despair. I'll only share one - but I could go on but this will do for today.
This is when Abinadi was testfying of Christ.

Mosiah 3:7 "And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unot death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and abominations of his people."

This came to my mind after tests at the hospital. I was in more pain than I thought I could handle. Oddly enough, it was two months before I was critcally injured. I would face much, much more pain in months' time. I believe this was a merciful experience of the Lord preparing me for what was to come.

I had to go to the hospital for some tests for my kidneys. After which, I was in incredible pain, it was nearing the end of the semester, I had recently changed jobs, and my dating life had been frustrated yet again.

It was one of those moments when the Spirit spoke to me as clearly as a voice resounds in my ears. As much pain as I was in (going down the stairs from my apartment to drive to the emergency room--miracle enough that I could walk) This scripture came to my mind very clearly. I was filled with a sense that someone was watching and caring for me, and I would be okay. The amnesia from the accident wiped this entire experience from my memory but this strong impression remained.

Ten years after, I can still remember going down those stairs from my apartment, slowly, in pain--alone, as everyone was in class or at work--to take myself to the emergency room. It took all my strength to walk.

That scripture came into my mind and brought with it a rush of relief, and even joy, to think that my pain was only temporary. My pain is nothing.
He suffered so much, and in His service I know nothing but joy. The pain I experience here on earth is only temporary, and swallowed up in the joy of service for His cause.
I have since (after recovery from the accident), dedicated my life to pain relief and management, along with rehabilitation and strength recovery. I hope I can be an instrument of healing, ever pointing to the true Source of all healing.

The part where Jesus has his feet washed with the sinful woman's tears, and the Pharisee says in his heart "If this man were truly a prophet, he wouldn't let this woman touch him" and Jesus reads his thoughts and corrects him.

Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Can you feel the love?
