That we worship a different Christ. That we still follow polygamy. That we have horns and a tail. That we can become gods and get our own planet. That we have sex in heaven and have spirit babies. That God has many wives. That we have magic (and it isn't by any stretch of the imagination) underwear. That we have sex in the temple. That we worship a stuffed seagull.
Many more are here: http://www.beliefnet.com/boards/message_list.asp?boardID=22134&discussionID=145121

There are many. Here are some of my pet peeves that emerge from the vast depths of the well of ignorance:
1) Witches worship the devil ("the Devil" is a Chrisitan concept; we can't/won't worship something we don't believe exists!)
2) my pentacle is evil (nothing evil about it. Other religions, such as Christianity, once utilized the pentagram)
3) There is one religion that is true and right for everyone and if you're not part of this club, then something bad will happen to you.
Usually when people say these things, it stems from their fear of the unknown, or from propaganda from Hollywood, the media, or other misinformed sources. Education is the key to understanding and tolerance. I believe that everyone should have a right to their own beliefs and eligion...however, no one has the right to insist others follow the the religion of their personal choice.

I no longer practise and have not for almost 10 years now, but people always think that Jehovah's Witnesses:
1. Cannot drink tea or coffee (That's Mormons)
2. Cannot drink Alcohol
3. Are not allowed to watch TV (YES THEY ARE!!!)
4. Do not believe in Jesus (THEY DO!!)
5. Are not allowed to have any medical treatment.
The only thing they do not allow is blood transfusions, but if you actually study the whole issue then you come to realise that blood is not vital for any operation and they can have any other alternative treatments, it's a very emotive subject and often people misunderstand because they have never actually studied the whole blood issue and how it is just the cheapest form of treatment available, if you knew there was better treatment out there for you, with higher success and recovery rate you would also insist that you received this better treatment and not be fobbed off with the cheap alternative.

Buddhism and Hinduism Buddhism being rooted interior the Hindu faith. Reincarnation is predicated on the concept that each and all and sundry residing issues have a soul. for this reason the Hindu prepare of no longer killing any residing subject. it somewhat is impractical at superb, and not mentioned via all Hindus. Souls evolve into greater beings via sturdy deeds and achieving greater planes of conciseness. Finlay attaining oneness with god or nirvana. question: How does the Dung Beetle attain a greater robust point of conciseness? Reincarnation isn't familiar via Bible believing Christians nor grew to become into it ever counseled via the Christian Church.

Interesting question with some interesting answers.
The world at large thinks that Mormons worship Joseph Smith and the Angel Moroni instead of Christ. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Jesus is the Christ and all the others are His servants.

That Mormons don't worship Christ. I have been a Mormon all of my life and worship the Christ I find written about in the Bible. Nothing in the Mormon religion do I fin inconsistent with the Bible. I worship Christ and he is my savior and it is because of his grace that I am able to be saved. Is that not what is taught in the Bible?
Lifelong Mormon.

That Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in Jesus Christ or follow his ways.
We certainly do.
There are many lies told about our religion, one of the main ones being that our religion is a cult (follows a man) - that is totally false. Our religion is totally Bible based.

That only my religion and my god is true and that all the others are wrong!
That I know more about god and his Will than even god knows.
That it is a she or he.
That it is partial and biased towards its own creation;
having been brain-washed by power/money hungry cannibals.
That it decides to function according to our Scriptures, guide-lines, interpretations, and thoughts and deeds.
