Not at all.

Richard Dawkins is just a man -- albeit a very funny and eloquent man; and his book is not divine revelation, but merely information that is available to and verifiable by all of us.

No, that would be idiotic and childish. Richard Dawkins is just a man and the God Delusion is just a book. Its only insane religious that elevate regular people to godhood status and worship a book.

I think Dawkins is rational at the expense of his irrational awareness of the life experiences most of the rest of us are having, like love. Which for him is just your "selfish" genes inexplicable and pointless way of perpetuating themselves. Do you realize that he is also suggesting love is a delusion?

First, has really proven that or just proven that there are physical things that correspond to those irrational experiences?

Second, does it match up with your experience of life?

Third, would you want to view someone who cares about you as just a robot in the service of genes that survive and don;t even intend to (because there's no point to it anyway)?

Fourth, have you read any of agnostic Mary Midgley's great responses to Dawkins?

I believe Richard Dawkins is an anti-theist, and such a comparison would certainly piss him off.

Anyway, you really should watch The Dawkins Delusion (not the christian agitprop book) on YouTube. Its Hilarious!

One of My Professors met Him in England and had a talk with Him about his "atheism" He is a Rabid Atheist, and a Militant one at that, if he and others like him keep it up, then what is happening in Iraq will pale in Comparison to what will happen here. in the U. S.

Now I am not a Militant Christian, But I know of many who are, and many who would become Militant if the Government outlaws Christianity as I know it eventually will once the Dems come into Power, they will do so to eliminate any opposition to their line of thinking.

You do? That's a bit extreme, but I suppose if TGD rescues your from theism then you might feel that way.

It's far from his best work, by the way - not that it isn't an excellent exposition.

LOL...may I suggest you browse through a book that may have you question those theories or actually prove to some of us that you actually care to do research on subjects and not just accept things blindly? :)

Nope, not any more than I see the fictional Jesus as a savior. Nice try though.
