Jesus is called the 2nd Adam. Though that would be very bad news if it were true. Since Adam helped get us into this mess and I fail to see how Jesus got us out of the mess. Now that I think about it maybe Jesus was the 2nd Adam.
Jesus was supposed to be the 2nd Abel. That plan failed. Now what? Sit and pretend it is all OK.
Have you ever noticed that some people really latch on to certain buzz words and won't let go' They use them like a kid sucks a lollipop.

In, "The Word became flesh", the Word refers to Jesus, who was present with God throughout all eternity. It simply means that that part of God which represents Jesus came to Earth and was born in the flesh.

He is called the 2nd Adam because He was the new start that mankind received.

Jesus provides the way for us to "get out of this mess", simply by our (individually) accepting Him as our Lord & Savior. In other words, He provided the way. You need to take advantage of it. If you don't, it's not His fault.

No YHWH did not become flesh. The "word" Jesus became flesh. He is the 2nd Adam in that he was a perfect man as was Adam. And he also bought back what Adam lost for mankind.

"It is so written: "The first man Adam became a living soul," the last Adam became a life-giving spirit." 1 Corinthians 15: 45

"For just as in Adam all are dying, so also in the Christ all will be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15:22

"That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned..For just as through the disobedience of the one man many wre constituted sinners, likewise also through the obedience of one many will be constituted righteous." Rom. 5: 12 & 19

Jesus is neither the second Adam nor the second Abel. Neither of these two were perfect sacrifices in God's eyes. Jesus IS the second Covenant and the perfect covenant. His blood is what saves us and gives us our mercy and grace. It was on the Cross that our sins were nailed, along with Our Saviour.

To say Jesus is the second Adam would infer that He will bring more sin into the world. He died FOR our sins, not to bring more. Adam was created to live in a perfect world, but he disobeyed God. Jesus, though, tempted followed through with the plans of His Father. By eating the apple, Adam distanced us from the face of God, Jesus brought us back face to face with God.

Ok. Here's the answer from a non-fundy:

The term "word ["logos"] made flesh" as it is used in the Gospel of John means that an aspect of God ("Yahweh," if you must) incarnated (became a human being) to aright things (we find this motif in other religions as well). The Christian idea of the logos as the incarnating deity is related to Platonic and Neoplatonic ideas about God having 3 aspects: transcendent, intelligent, and creative. Christianity was heavily influenced philosophically by Aristotlian and Platonic philosophy.

Jesus is metaphorically called the second Adam because the belief was that his life, teaching, and sacrifice made up for the sin of Adam--so his epiphany was like God starting all over again with mankind--this was the idea.

that's believed that God created the enterprise of marriage so what's attributed to Jesus is in basic terms to enhance what God had till now accomplished. yet at day one i.e. on the beginning up of introduction God under no circumstances ever created guy and later desperate to do away with part of guy's physique to create a woman. Why? this is simply by fact guy informed God he wanted a much better half. a lot of those are tall thoughts which will desire to be disregarded. initially, human beings are souls/spirits yet in human costumes of flesh, blood and water. undergo in techniques, a spirit or soul is interior the form of a movie star or greater advantageous nevertheless that's a factor of sunshine. If God did create guy in His image, this has to do with Perfection-He being appropriate. As a factor of sunshine or a movie star is to assert that souls are no longer created and to boot the ''bare did I come, and bare shall i bypass'' discourse potential a soul or spirit has no gender, coloration, race, faith and so on. to your practise, there is not any love between any married couples that's why marriages at the instant disintergrate greater swifter after the knot is tied. despite if, what's rife of previous due is intercourse-lust which we've misconstrued to intend love . For me, ''the two will exchange into one flesh'' is neither right here nor there..

It means GOD became human. Jesus was the second Adam because Adam was created without sperm and Christ was conceived without sperm. By living a sinless life Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for all mankind's sin. Praise the LORD.

The "Word" is the thought/s of God. Hard to think without a word, right? From the infinite Father, the Word operates in this finite world of time, space and causation. It's substance is the Holy Spirit. The thoughts of God, of course, is HImself so the Word is God. And the Holy Spirit too. Being omnipresent, God is in all of us. If He were a vast contiguous ocean, we are but droplets. Jesus has about the size of the Pacific, but it was enough for him to share a common consciousness ("one') with the Word of the Father. In time, we can do that too.

You got part of the scripture, the rest of it provides your answer.

In the 1st Adam death came to man.
But in the 2nd Adam (Jesus) we now have a way to life.

Yeah...like 2nd.

Jesus is God's son...not an Adam, not an Abel. He is Jesus. He died so we do not have to.
God's word..became flesh. God spoke and it happened.
