My 14 month old daughter recently stopped sleeping at night. I sleep trained her at an early age and she was able to fall asleep on her own in the crib but she no longer will do that either. I have tried to let her cry it out again but she has gone for an hour standing in her crib and screaming and crying so hard that she loses her voice and has snot everywhere. I know she is currently getting two of her 1 year molars. Could that have something to do with it? I tried Motrin and Orajel but she still won't sleep. I feel like I am doing something wrong but I can't let her cry longer than an hour!!! Has anyone else experienced this??? Any suggestions???

I hate saying this again and again, but it's true... it's a stage. At 14-16 months...they are beginning to recognize and sometimes use language, they have recently learned or are learning to walk....there are many changes happening at this age and so...it is difficult for them to relax...they aren't able to shut off all this new information that they are finally learning to use... so...
You may have to change her bedtime routine a bit to help her relax... Rocking her....sitting in her room while it's darkened ... shutting off any sort of stimulation.... helping her find a way to self soothe...
Standing over her and rubbing her back, etc.... all of these suggestions might help...one of them or none of them.... :)
but... this too shall pass! :)

put on some soft music and close her door. shes afraid she will miss something. if she gets hysterical go in lay her down change her diaper if she needs it and kiss her goodnight and leave. avoid turning the light on and picking her up the less you engage her the better

Pick her up and cuddle and rock and sing her to sleep. Stop trying to train her you train dogs not humans.
