If it's getting bigger and still hurts, go see a doctor right away. You can go to one of those urgent care facilities if your own doctor can't see you quickly.
It could be a spider bite, poison ivy or oak, or just a boil. Or yes, maybe even a staph infection. No one on Yahoo can tell you, so go see a doctor.

My younger sister had staph over 40 years ago. She was only about 10 years old. It was during the summer, we have a river cottage. We thought she had been scratching mosquito bites. They were red and full of pus. She developed a fever and became very weak. Mama took her to a Dr. She had Staph. We had to clean up everything. We couldn't walk barefoot where she had been. When she had her first Child by C-section, my sister also developed a staph infection in the incision. She was isolated from her baby for almost a week! I think once you catch the bug, you are more susceptible to it.

See a Doc. When you said it popped lead me to think wart is out of the question never seen nor heard a wart popping.
Coming back after it popped is curious though and growing. Could be a spider bite, could be a cyst, could be anything really get it looked at. Staph infection is no joke if its more then a few days old though I would say it isn't Staph or it would most likely be you entire foot by now.

I've had staph. Staph is a swollen type lump that appears to have puss inside of it and looks similar to a burn. It doesn't look like a wart whatsoever. Ant bites (if your allergic) can appear in a pimple like form. Also staph infection only enters the body through a cut or burn. If you've had staph before you will be more prone to it. It will be painful, so cover it and don't touch it and see a doctor.

Honey, please go to the doctor right away. That is noting to trifle with. If it is a serious staph infection the sooner you begin treatment, the better. I don't want anything bad to happen to you.

Sounds like it needs checking. Especially if it and the surrounding area are reddish in color and hot to the touch (warmer than normal) than the rest of your skin. I'd see a doctor to rule it out as they are so common and so deadly. Very easy to control and stop if caught in the early stages.
