Apparently god was going to be born there,but he decided the being scalped wasn't as dramatic as being crucified so he chose the middle east instead.Also he preferred the food.

Actually, they had. There are all kinds of legends and native traditions of a "great while God" who visited them long ago. Other native American references to deity is the 'great White spirit." It is interesting to me that in most all legends and references, the deity is referenced as being "white" or at least consistent with what Jesus would appear to be to them.

they had - many tribes have legends and tales centered around a figure of peace who came and spoke to them, taught them, blessed them, and promised to return again [one of the reasons the spanish were welcomed by the indians]. some of the southwestern tribes have traditions & coming of age ceremonies which are rife with symbolism of Jesus Christ.
