anyone have the new psp? and if so is better than the old one? and if so how?

It has a brighter screen, TVout, more flash memory (faster loading times), it's lighter and slimmer. BUT - it breaks easy, because Sony had removed metal frame protection from it.

It is 19% slimmer and 33% lighter
the backlight is stronger and for some reason the speakers are on the top of the faceplate
also it has a tv-output option for playing your psp on a TV screen

As far as weight and stuff that Sony would want you to think is better, but when it comes down to homebrew/hacking/modding, things are alot harder and have to use special techniques to get through just to run homebrew apps that the phat PSP could do with ease. Sony's idea with the new PSP Slim & Lite was to make more people think that its cool so that they could lower the amount of people who are hacking their PSP's. So basically us PSP Modders just kept our phat PSP's in order to avoid the trouble of hacking the Slim & Lite...
