Btw...if it's the "Hap, Happiest time of the year" why are there "scary ghost stories?"

Lol-I asked that a while ago but no one seems to know why there's that line about 'scary ghost stories'. I LOVE the holiday season. I like the songs and it is an endless source of guilt on my part. I also am fascinated by old European Cathedrals.
I just have to comfort myself with the fact that I know it was originally a pagan holiday and I try to focus on the songs that don't include a Christian message, like 'Cool Yule' (that's a pretty new one) and 'Winter Wonderland'.
(As much as they're a guilty pleasure, I can't say I 'rock out' to them, though)
:-)

Its questions like this and people who bother to ask them that caused Jews to invent the word "Schmuck".

Listen....music is music. Enjoy the melody and ignore the words.

If an Athiest rocks out to Feliez Navidad, I doubt he will burst into flames. Same for a Jew or a Muslim.

Just ignore the lyrics if they offend your sense of moronicy.

SHEESH!

No, one of the joys about being an Atheist, is that we can rock out to any Holy day without worrying about upsetting a deity.

It's wrong for *anyone* to rock out on the Christmas song radio station.

I love Christmas music, too!
We don't have to avoid Christian-influenced things...we just have to avoid the brainwashing.

I do it every year and I'm not ashamed!

Why would it be wrong anyway?

I think it's fine to do so--go ahead and rock out.
