The earth is warming. Man is not the cause of it. It is not procrastination. There is nothing we can do. The earth will warm and cool as it pleases.

You are right. My civics teacher in high school warned us about global warming in 1955 and nobody did anything. I think it got no action at the time because that was in New Hampshire. It is very cold there a lot of the year and it was felt that less people would move south if it warmed up a little.

Well, global warming is true, but what exactly is the reason?
I like the idea of saving the planet, but what will happen is inevitable; it is caused by normal planetary functions: the magnetic force field is shutting down (don't worry, long process) and this disrupts the "normal" weather conditions. Eventually (hundreds/thousands of years) the north pole will switch with the south pole and start all over again, but in the meantime will cause havoc with the weather because of the "shifting" process.
But, we can still make the planet better in the meantime, like lowering harmful emissions and not over-populating the planet.

check my starred questions in this page,
but nobody can be truly prepared for it except by building a Permaculture settlement in the hills that is totally self sufficient and sustainable .
All the same even with the best intentions if all of America became green in their attitude ,it still leave the rest of the world ,and the poor countries have immediate survival as a priority .
Many Latin Countries just do not care .money is their objective
And the religious sectors believe God is handling it all so they wait to see what happens ,and pray of course.
So it is doubtful ,that we can turn the tide ,
So back to the Permaculture settlement in the hills ,it is the best preparation we can do

I believe it is true
Scientists are trying to work on 100% hybrid vehicles and soon enough all the recycling will stop
millions of people are recycling daily
people like bill gates should give like a billion in global warming studies.

Its all about to change for the good in 2008 . There is a new energy source coming out then that's going to change everything that we know all for the good . And as usual there is only a small hand full of us doing it but that like any crises that's all there ever is , is a small hand full even in time of war then when its all said and dun everyone is going to take the credit for it .

Global warming is true - it's just the causes that are in doubt. There are many organisations and pressure groups communicating with the world's governments - join one of those such as Greenpeace.

Global warming exists, but since it won't have any life-threatening effects in our lifetime, nothing will be done about it for a long time. People won't truly attempt to change until our skin starts to boil.

God yes, the end of the world is here and no one cares. What BS.
The USA is leading the way in reducing green house gasses. Why are you not aware of this?
Billions are being spent every year to reduce pollution AND ghg's by business.
Is it because gvmt isn't forcing people to do things you think no one is taking action?
Please. There is a reason why the USA is no longer leading the world in co2 output. It's because of all the money that's being invested in green technology. Green is very profitable.

Yes---I am prepared---
But I'm afraid my government like most governments
isn't !
Otherwise we wouldn't be bowing down to tyrants
like OPEC regulating the price of oil which they
get out of the ground for pennies---while
none of our great leaders asks them for an accounting
when prices shoot up to $100.00 /barrel
Makes you suspect that someone might be getting
money under the table---
And where are the alternate energy methods that
are given so much lip service ----maybe they are
swept under the same table !
I am like the rest of us --we will do what an honest
Government asks of us---if they will take some
initiative and lead the way !
