The lack of Capitalism causes more pollution. End your socialistic ways, adopt lassie fare Capitalism, and all your pollution problems will just go away.

I dont know about specific answer but they say if the polar ice caps melt off, the sea level would rise and I am sure alot of coastal areas and islands in the Philippines would be effected greatly.I am sure though it would not be a fast happening thing. there are some places in the USA that seem to experiencing this now. Things like the shoreline is being washed away by the surf and some people with sea side homes are loosing their property to the ocean. That would be my input of common sense if the ice caps melted some islands would go under water.

The cause of global warming, in Batangas and everywhere else, is human burning of fossil fuels. This takes carbon from the ground, where it has been stored for millions of years, and puts it back into the atmosphere. As a result, carbon dioxide in the air increases.

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, which means that it is transparent to visible light (where most of the Sun's energy is), but it absorbs infrared light (which the Earth emits back into space to keep cool). With more greenhouse gas in the air, the Earth emits less infrared, so the planet gets warmer.

Gabrielle:

The IPCC report says the worst case , if we do nothing, is that sea level will rise one meter.

Not 30.

and that temperatures will rise 1 degree Celsius.

As far as causes in South East Asia, China is the largest maker of greenhouse gasses in the world....by far.

Don't get all exercised about global warming. If it's happening, it can't be stopped. History shows the earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling.
