I understand all late night shows are expected to be in reruns until further notice. What else?
I'm not big on TV, but here are my faves.
Can anyone tell me if they will be affected, please?

Ellen (Talk Show)
Heroes
The Simpsons

Most important to me is Heroes.

Ellen may be affected. Heroes and the Simpsons will be fine. The shows that feel it most are the ones that rely on current events (The Daily Show, The Colbert Report) and other news based shows (Real Time W/ Bill Maher, Leno, Letterman, Obrien). These guys need jokes and stuff to mix in with the news and it is the joke writers that are on strike.

All the new shows will once they run out of finished scripts. The late night talk shows that are topical in nature, all the political humor shows. Soap Operas especially. I understand that Letterman, Conan and Leno cannot go on even if they wish to do their own jokes because they are members of the Writers Union. I think Jimmy Kimmel is not a member so he can continue without writers if he wants.

Talk shows are affected because they are filmed really close to when they air. Most evening shows such as sit-coms, dramas, etc...are taped MONTHS in advance (which is how they can show stuff that will happen 3 weeks from now on previews)

By the time that they would have to show a rerun the strike will be over. The networks never let these things go on long.

I agree. And the most important to me, is also "Heroes". BUT alas, I have no cable anyways... I'll just go buy the season when it comes out on DVD.

As for the Simpsons... my hubby will be crushed, and Ellen.... eh! She's funny, but if they are really-truly funny, her, Letterman and the other shows would do fine without the writers.

I don't really know but I say just don't watch them until it's over. If the ratings are bad enough, the writers will get their raises. Pretty pathetic that they have to strike to get it. They put the real funny in our late night shows.

All the late night talk shows are on re-runs as of tonight because of this!! The men are not so funny after all, eh? It's all the writers!

the small print have been all over the information whilst it began... in step with hazard in case you're able to spend merely a sprint time getting information and much less time taking part in video games or watching mindless take a seat-coms on television you're able to learn whilst issues ensue which could result you.

That all depends on how long the strike runs.
